Postman Pat was created by a former teacher named John Cunliffe. No doubt a meaningless name to the person on the street, but mention Postman Pat and they would know who he is immediately. Cunliffe is responsible for several other greats of childrens entertainment, including Rosie and Jim. But how did he go about creating this cult series?
